Lastres has joined in 2014 to the select club of the “most beautiful towns in Spain”. It still has one of the most famous port prints in Asturias. The fishing boats with the stepped bottom of a beautiful fishing town, make up one of the most representative images of the maritime essence of the region.

After lunch and back to the hotel you will enjoy an afternoon at the hotel SPA.

Dinner in Arriondas

Day 03 – Asturias: Bike tour Covadonga Lakes: 5 hours

Breakfast at the hotel

You will start your bike tour through the Lagos de Covadonga. One of Asturias´ most famous postcard images -and the favorite of many cyclists- is the ascent to the Lakes of Covadonga (also highlighted usually in La Vuelta Ciclista a España). It is a very tough and demanding stage but spectacular in terms of views. The best part is that every stop you make to rest will offer such breathtaking views, that every drop of swear will be worth it.

Lunch in Cangas de Onís.

After lunch and back to the hotel you will enjoy an afternoon at the hotel SPA.

Day 04 – Asturias: Bike tour Moandi – Beleño: 4 hours

Breakfast at the hotel

Today you will reach two famous climbs: Collada Mohandi and Collada Llomena from Beleño.

The Collada Moandi is a 12 Kms easy climb across beautiful forests. The road is extremely quiet and with very good surface. The descent towards Ponga is stunning. The road is steeper and more open exposing the impressive mountains of Ponga and Picos de Europa.

Collado Llomena from Beleño is a climb of medium difficulty. The first 2km are the most challenging, after which the gradient backs off and is quite comfortable. It is a highly enjoyable climb in the heart of the Ponga Natural Park.

Lunch in  Cangas de Onís.

After lunch, you will go for a walk to La Salmonera, located in the town of Caño , two kilometers from Cangas de Onís. The Caño station was built to facilitate the recovery of the Salmones del Sella  through stairs and artificial pools in the river bed, since a dam had been built to divert water to a hydroelectric power station commissioned in 1928. A perfect place to watch the king of the Sella river go up the stairs and waterfalls to return to his birthplace and complete his life cycle.

Dinner at the hotel

Day 05 –Asturias: Bike tour Nava – Falla Lobos: 4 hours

Breakfast at the hotel

Today you will reach other two famous climbs: Les Praeres de Nava and la Falla de los Lobos

As you’ve probably discovered already, Asturias is a land of challenges for cyclists. And Les Praeres de Nava is one of them. This route gained its fame, once again, as it became a main part of La Vuelta in 2018, and it doesn’t disappoint those who face it. It’s a short port but with some chilling ramps.

Back to the hotel for lunch

In the afternoon visit to the Sider House El gaitero. El Gaitero is produced in an Asturian cider mill boasting a long-standing tradition dating back over a hundred years, and where visitors can enjoy a unique tour and discover the secrets of the essential flavour of Asturias: cider.

Day 06 – Asturias: Bike tour Infiesto – Tarna: 5 hours

Puerto de Tarna holds no real surprises. It is a fairly long climb with steady gradients. There are no really steep sections and it is just a matter of pacing yourself well.

Day 07– Asturias: Bike tour Cubilla: 5 hours

Breakfast at the hotel

Today your objective is a sensational climb called “La Cubilla”.  One of the best kept secrets of Spanish cycling, recently discovered by the Vuelta a España organization.

You will enjoy 28 kilometers of continuous and extended climbing, with an average gradient of 4.7%, crowning 1,672 meters of altitude. All this crossing the Natural Park of Las Ubiñas-La Mesa..  A climb worthy of the Tour itself.

Lunch in Siero

You will enjoy a local tour of Oviedo. The compact but characterful and historic casco antiguo (old town) of Asturias’ civilised capital is agreeably offset by elegant parks and busy, modern shopping streets to its west and north. Oviedo is a fun, sophisticated city, with a stash of intriguing sights, some excellent restaurants and a lively student population. Out on the periphery, the hum and heave of factories is a strong reminder that Oviedo is a major producer of textiles, weapons and food
