Arrival in Barcelona and stay at the cosmopolitan and modern Hotel Almanac. Once there, you can relax, take a dip in the hotel pool or explore the city centre before our meeting with our guide, who will give us a detailed explanation of the programme before dinner.

After breakfast, we will leave by private bus at 8:30 am towards the village of Molló. Once there, we will start the Route of the Exiles following the Path of the Retreat of Molló by Coll d’Ares, which contains a great historical load of the Spanish Civil War. This itinerary follows one of the many paths of exile, along which hundreds of thousands of people fled from Franco’s troops towards the French border after the fall of Barcelona on 26 January 1939. These roads continued to be useful during the Second World War, when they were regularly used by Jews fleeing Nazi Germany. At the end of the route we will head for Planoles with our private bus. We will stay in a nice and cosy high mountain hotel.

Our trekking starts in the village of Planoles until we reach Queralbs. We will pass by the Corral Blanc refuge at 1,815m, an ideal place to stop and recharge our batteries. We will also pass by the famous Collet de les Barraques, one of the classic starting points for the ascent to Puigmal (2.909m), mythical and famous peak of the Natural Park of Capçaleres del Ter i del Freser for being the highest of it. Our route continues through “La Font de l’Home Mort”, where we find a group of marshes and waterfalls. A beautiful place surrounded by meadows and peaks, where you can breathe a tranquillity that invites you to contemplate the views. We arrive at Queralbs, a Pyrenean village located in the foothills of Puigmal, where we can visit its charming streets and its famous Romanesque church.

We will continue our walk through the Natural Park of Capçaleres del Ter and Freser, which extends around the enclaves of Nuria and Ulldeter, on the border with the Regional Natural Park of the Catalan Pyrenees. Along this route, surrounded by an environment of great beauty, we will be able to contemplate the flora and fauna characteristic of the high mountains. We will find fountains, waterfalls, pools, bridges and viewpoints with spectacular views. Once in the Vall de Nuria, we can visit the classic Sanctuary of Núria, where we can find the image of the Virgin of Núria in Romanesque style. Once at the hotel, we can enjoy the rest and tranquillity of the valley. Given that its accessibility is limited only by the “rack railway”, it is much appreciated for its silence. Its beautiful views and boat or canoe rides on the lake, and the clarity of its starry sky at nightfall, make this a unique place.

We will visit the monastery of Sant Pere de Rodes. Built on the slopes of the Verdera mountain between the 10th and 12th centuries in the Romanesque style, it was declared a Cultural Asset of National Interest in 1997. The complex is made up of the monastery itself, the castle of Verdera and the old village of Santa Creu de Rodes, with exceptional views over the bay of Llansá and Port de la Selva, to the north of Cap de Creus. Once we have seen the monastery, we go down to Port de la Selva, a traditional fishing village with its whitewashed houses and blue gates that give it the charm and attraction of a coastal village. The village, located just where the Pyrenees begin, is surrounded by the most beautiful coves on the Costa Brava. Its rocks and cliff formations give it a truly personal expression.

We will depart from Port de la Selva by bus to the Cap de Creus lighthouse, where we will start the classic “Camí de Ronda”, a historic itinerary that runs along the coastline of the Costa Brava. It was formerly used by the carabinieri and later also by the Guardia Civil to control smuggling and contraband. We will visit incredible coves in the Natural Park of Cap de Creus where we will not only contemplate its beautiful landscapes, but also take the opportunity to have a swim or two. From the Cap de Creus lighthouse, we will have a panoramic view of the Mediterranean Sea, even spotting dolphins if we are lucky enough. This lighthouse, built in 1853, is famous for being the most easterly lighthouse on the Iberian Peninsula, where the Pyrenees begin. This hike will take us to Cadaqués, the most charming fishing village on the Costa Brava.

We will start the day by visiting the Dalí House, located in Port Lligat. Today a house-museum, it was the place where he lived and worked until the death of his wife and muse Gala. His house was built over time and by his own definition was like a “true biological structure”. It was the perfect place for inspiration and his artistic work. After this visit, we will venture out on a kayaking experience visiting the southern coves of Cap de Creus. The trip will last 2 hours, with enough time to swim and visit coves that are only accessible by sea.

This is a complete stage of the GR92, a path that runs along the Mediterranean between the towns of Cadaqués and Roses. We will follow a section of the solitary Cap de Creus with stops at Cala Jòncols, Cap de Norfeu and Cala Montjoi. The landscape of this corner of Cap de Creus hides these postcard-perfect unspoilt areas, and small coves that make the route more pleasant: Cala Pelosa, Cala Calitges and Cala Murtra, idyllic spots where you can take a dip. We will arrive at Roses, a town located to the south of Cap de Creus. It is known for its tourist centre, urbanisations, hotels and beaches. Here our driver will pick us up to take us back to Barcelona for our last night.
