Day 01 – Granada - Arrival
Today you will arrive to the wonderful city of Granada. After leaving the luggage in the accommodation, you will join a guided city tour that focuses on the importance of water throughout history, allowing you to understand the water cycle in the Generalife and the Alhambra. Water is an essential element in this monumental complex: it gives life to gardens and orchards, but also generates a unique sensory landscape: sounds, reflections, freshness and greenery. You cannot understand the Alhambra without water. You can also enter the spectacular Alhambra to contemplate its majesty from within (please enquire availability at the time of booking). Your day will end with a tapas tour through the most emblematic areas of Granada.
Day 02 – Granada
After breakfast you will enjoy some free time to explore the city on your own. After lunch (not included), you will visit a workshop where a flamenco dancer will give a short lesson to learn first steps of this wonderful dance. In addition, you will dine in a restaurant with privileged views over the Alhambra and located next to the first wall of Granada with ten centuries of history.
Day 03 – Sierra Nevada
After breakfast you will head to Sierra Nevada, where you will enjoy a guided route to discover the scenic, cultural and historical wealth of the highest mountain range in the peninsula. After lunch (not included), you will visit an organic bread workshop, which is very famous in the region. In addition, you will visit an old oil mill where you will enjoy a gorgeous olive oil tasting.
Day 04 – Sierra Nevada
After breakfast you will visit the Alpujarras region, one of the most authentic destinations of southern Andalusia, a place where nature, magic and meditation go hand in hand. After lunch (not included), you will visit a handmade jarapa workshop and try to make your own jarapa in a traditional way and with natural materials.
Day 05 – Seville
After breakfast, you will take your private transport to Seville, the capital of Andalusia. Upon your arrival, you will drop off your luggage at the accommodation to join a guided cycle tour of the city. After lunch (not included), you will have free time to enjoy the city at your own pace. In the evening, head to the famous Triana neighborhood, where you will join a tapas tour, where each tavern will welcome you with delicious tapas and cheerful people.
Day 06 – Aracena
After breakfast, your destination will be Aracena. Your private transport will take you to one of the most important protected areas in the community, located in the north of the province with long pastures and rolling moors. This is an area of holm oak, cork oak, chestnut and low forest where many streams flow, forming a landscape of extraordinary beauty and ideal for livestock, especially for the Iberian pig, which you will learn more about. Following this, you will visit a traditional meat dryer workshop, where you will have a guided tour and a taste of the famous Iberian acorn-fed ham. You will enjoy lunch at a restaurant where you will taste the local gastronomy. In the afternoon, you will enjoy a mycological route that will teach you to identify the different mushrooms in the region.
Day 07 – White Villages & Ronda - Return Home
Last day to enjoy the south. After breakfast, you will head to the “White Villages” region to visit the spectacular village of Ronda. You will be touring the old Andalusian border of the kingdoms of Castile and Granada. A day to enjoy nature and historical destinations with their still alive traditions. End of services.
